Our commitment

Hot & Cold Mechanical is working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That standard guides how this site is built and reviewed.

What we’ve built in

• Skip-to-content link so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
• Full keyboard support for the menu, including a focus trap and Escape-to-close in the mobile menu, and visible focus outlines throughout.
• Semantic HTML and a consistent heading structure on every page, for screen reader users.
• Descriptive alt text on every image, describing what it actually shows.
• Text and button colors checked against WCAG AA contrast requirements (4.5:1 for text), including where text sits over a photo.
• Large touch targets — buttons and links sized for real thumbs, not just mouse pointers.
• Reduced-motion support for visitors whose systems request less animation.
• Labeled form fields with errors announced next to the field they belong to, not just at the top of the form.

Known limitations
